These steps are carried out by the Yardi system administrator at the company that licenses the system — often an IT or systems lead, who may not use Revolution RE at all. Send them this page.
Yardi installations use stored procedures: a package of scripts that extracts property and financial data and a scheduled task that delivers it to Revolution RE every night.
Admin Voyager, Package Manager and File Manager access in Yardi.
Part 1 — Install the data extract
- In File Manager, in your Live default path, create a folder named
Revolution. Inside it createExport, and inside that createFailedandSuccess. - In Package Manager, upload and execute
RevRE_Combined.pkg. This creates the extracts and a Task Runner task named Revolution. - In Voyager, edit the Revolution task and add the FTP user and password to its last step. Both are in your setup email from Revolution RE.
- Create a property list in Voyager containing the properties to extract, with the code
.RevRE. If you use a different code, replace.RevREin the URL of every step of the Revolution task. - Ask Yardi Support to schedule the Revolution task. We recommend daily at 8 PM.
- Set up success and failure notifications, and include support@revolutionre.com on both.
Part 2 — Schedule financial reports
Using the .RevRE property list, create a report package from your trailing-twelve reports in Yardi Financial Analytics.
- Find the report
rs_Fin_Analytic. - Add a 12 Month Statement, months +0 to −12.
- Add a 12 Month Budget, months +0 to +12.
- Use Excel format, include account codes, and show all rows — even blank ones.
- Schedule the package daily at 8 PM ET to
[yourcompany].financials@inbox.revolutionre.com.
The inbox addresses below use [yourcompany] as a placeholder. Your setup email from Revolution RE gives your exact addresses.
Email support@revolutionre.com to say the setup is complete. The team will confirm when data is flowing and flag anything that needs fixing.
