Products

The four products in the Revolution RE suite, and how your data reaches AI tools.

All documentation pages

Revolution RE is four products on one data foundation. Each works on its own or as part of the suite.

ProductWhat it does
BI ToolNo-code dashboards, automated reports and portfolio analytics on your standardized data, refreshed nightly. Most of this documentation is about the BI Tool.
Data PlusThree ready-made dashboards that run on your own data, without the BI Tool. See Data Plus & licensing.
Standardization (ETL)Managed extraction from your PMSs into one clean, unified schema, delivered wherever you need it.
Data LicensingLive multifamily market benchmarks, delivered to your systems, models or AI tools.

Using your data in AI tools

With MCP access, users can query Revolution RE from Claude or ChatGPT — asking questions of the same properties they can see in the platform, and no others. Their permissions carry across unchanged. An Administrator switches it on per permission; see Admin setup.

Your permissions come with you

Property access and permissions carry through from Revolution RE to Claude and ChatGPT. You sign in with your own Revolution RE login, so the AI tool can only reach the properties you have permission to view in Revolution RE, and nothing more. If a property is missing from an answer, it’s the same fix as in the platform: ask your Administrator to check your property access.

Connecting Claude

  1. An Administrator turns on MCP access for your permission, in Admin → Manage permissions. See Turning on MCP access.
  2. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Revolution RE and enter the server URL https://mcp.revolutionre.com. Select Add.
  4. Sign in with your Revolution RE username and password when asked.
  5. Revolution RE now appears under Connectors. Open it to choose when Claude may use each tool: Needs approval asks every time, Always allow doesn’t. When new tools are added, refresh the tools list there.
  6. Optional: in Settings → Privacy, turn off model training if you don’t want your chats used to improve the models.

Connecting ChatGPT

It’s the same process, with the same server URL:

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Plugins.
  2. Add a new plugin.
  3. Enter https://mcp.revolutionre.com and sign in with your Revolution RE username and password.

Asking good questions

  • Name the property and the period: “Oak Terrace, year to date” gets a better answer than “my property lately”.
  • Ask for a table when you want to compare properties.
  • Follow up the way you’d ask a colleague: “break that down by month”, “draft a note to the asset manager”.
  • Check figures that matter against the report in Revolution RE before you act on them. The AI tool reads the same data, refreshed nightly, but it can still misread a question.

What it can look up: your properties, their metrics (occupancy, rent, leasing), units and leases, comps and market data, financial statements and account trees, and your data connections.
