Financial Mapper
No manual mapping. No month-end reconciliation.
While the old saying may be “all real estate is local,” today many multifamily portfolios reflect a more national profile. The trend toward centralization and automation makes owners look for ways to consolidate the accounting methods of properties run on different sets of books. RevRE’s Financial Mapper connects those financials, standardizes them, and maps them to a common chart of accounts — so portfolios can be rolled up, compared, and closed without any manual lift aside from human-in-the-loop review.
The problem
Owners with multiple regional management companies — and operators running owners’ properties on different financial systems — face the same monthly challenge. Each property’s books have a completely different chart of accounts. Pet rent appears under several category names for one manager, and not at all for another. Repair classifications shift as new vendors come online. New income and expense lines are added every month.
By close of the month, the portfolio rollup requires hours of manual mapping that is slow, error-prone, and rarely reconciles cleanly the first time.

Automates this work.
RevRE’s model has been trained on over one million general-ledger categories from across the management industry. As new accounts appear in any property’s books, the Mapper identifies them, classifies them, and places them in the correct position in the common chart.

Monthly
Automated refresh
New accounts are absorbed and mapped on a recurring schedule, so consolidated financials stay in balance.
Owners + Operators
Built for both
Owners consolidating across managers and operators consolidating across systems use the same underlying mapping engine.
How it works
The Financial Mapper takes financials from every property management company and every system in a portfolio, applies consistent definitions, and produces a unified rollup — with the option to use RevRE’s common chart of accounts or to maintain your own.
Connect every property in your portfolio. The Mapper receives financials from any source and is agnostic to type. Each property’s data flows into RevRE’s ETL layer on a daily refresh, so the consolidated view stays current.
Use RevRE’s common chart, or maintain your own. Owners and operators structure consolidated financials differently — the Mapper supports both, and maintains the mapping going forward.
Property books are never static — new utility, ancillary income, and expense lines appear month after month. The Mapper recognizes new accounts as they arrive and maps them to the correct location, so the rollup stays in balance period to period.
With every property’s books mapped to a common structure, the Mapper produces a unified rollup for month-end close, portfolio analysis, and fund-level reporting. Multiple versions of the same line combine into a single comparable category.
What gets mapped
The Financial Mapper covers the full chart of accounts, not just the headline metrics, so the portfolio rollup reflects the complete operating picture.
Base rent, loss to lease, concessions, and ancillary income — including pet rent, parking, storage, and utility reimbursements — combined across managers into comparable categories.
Payroll, repairs and maintenance, utilities, marketing, contract services, insurance, taxes, and management fees — mapped consistently across every property and every system.
Portfolio scale. Mapping that holds up across markets, managers, and time — active across portfolios spanning 20+ U.S. markets and a wide range of property-management relationships.
Who uses the Financial Mapper
In both cases, the Mapper handles the mapping work that has traditionally consumed the first week of every month.
Owners
Owners with multiple regional management companies use the Mapper to consolidate financials without disrupting how their managers operate.
Operators
Operators running across multiple systems use it to unify their own books across markets and acquisitions.
RevRE’s Financial Mapper connects every system, maps every account, and absorbs every new category as it appears — so consolidated financials are ready when month-end arrives.
